The Vice President, Operations, Community Hospitals, is responsible for the operational and financial performance of the Community Hospitals within the WakeMed Health & Hospitals system. This key member of our leadership team will be responsible for day-to-day operations at two unique hospitals, ensuring the continued growth and success of these enterprises. Primary responsibilities include executing strategic initiatives, initiating performance improvement, ensuring budget performance, and enhancing quality, safety, patient and staff satisfaction to ensure the continued high-quality services provided by the largest health care provider in Wake County.
Reporting directly to the Senior Vice President, Administrator, Community Hospitals, this leader will be expected to utilize a collaborative leadership style to engage stakeholders throughout the system. They will work closely with the hospital Chief Medical Officers, nurse leaders, medical staff members and community physicians, along with leaders throughout the system to ensure strategic, operational goals are met in alignment with our Mission, Vision and Values.
The VP, Community Hospitals, will be involved in numerous system-wide committees, regularly engaging leaders throughout the system. By partnering and collaborating with medical staffs and hospital leadership, the VP, Community Hospitals, facilitates teamwork among clinical and support staff across a growing, dynamic health care organization, promoting the achievement of shared goals that support the organization’s strategic goals.
Education: Master's Degree Business Administration Or Health Administration Or Related Field Or Equivalent Education and Experience Required
Experience: 10 Years Accounting/Finance - Budget Management And Leadership Required
