Greetings to all my NAHSE members, friends, and guests!
On behalf of the National Association of Health Services Executives, North Carolina Chapter, it is my distinct pleasure to welcome you!
I am humbled to serve our chapter and organization over the next two years. I am beyond excited to have the opportunity to network with each of you and would like to take just a moment to share a little information about NAHSE and why we’re all here.
The National Association of Health Services Executives (NAHSE) is a non-profit association of Black health care executives founded in 1968 for the purpose of promoting the advancement and development of Black health care leaders, and elevating the quality of health care services rendered to minority and underserved communities.
The North Carolina Chapter has a special connection to NAHSE, as the Tar Heel state is home to where it all began. Being a state chapter provides us with the scale to support our members across a large geography. We are focused on being a convener, connector, and collaborator for minority groups in the healthcare field. I believe we will become a prominent leader in our state on important topics that impact all communities, but most specifically our minority and under-served communities. Our chapter has a unique opportunity to also serve as a strong pipeline for minority talent for hospitals and health systems in North Carolina. Our Executive Team works to ensure the vibrancy of our chapter, and to assure that your membership with NAHSE is rewarding, both professionally and personally.
If you’re a current or past member of NAHSE, we encourage you to participate and share your NAHSE experiences on the local and/or national level and what brought you to NAHSE.
If you’re not a member of NAHSE, I encourage you engage with our state chapter members to hear more about their experiences with NAHSE and the benefits found from being a member.
This website is our public connection with you, and I encourage you to peruse the website for more information about our upcoming events, how to get involved and how to sign-up to become a member of NAHSE.
I look forward to meeting you and supporting your career journey!
